From Corporate Audit and Accounting to Self-Employment & Creativity

For years, I built my career in audit and corporate accounting in the Philippines, Malta, and Luxembourg. But over time, especially after the pandemic, I realized that the structured corporate world no longer gave me the same satisfaction. I wanted more freedom, fulfillment, and I felt I was ready to take risks - even if I still keep resisting this urge.

So, I made a bold decision: I quit my job, moved to Belgium, and embraced a new way of life. Together with my partner, I settled in Zuienkerke, a small, peaceful town, where I spent two years learning Dutch and integrating into my community. During this transition, I took time to rediscover who I am - resilient, creative, intuitive and introspective.

One of the things I rediscovered is writing. I like to write because it gives me clarity and allows me to re-experience and understand my emotions. I also like making videos because it gives me the same joy - it allows me to express my thoughts and my emotions. In the same way, I like creating and designing websites because it gives me the chance for self-expression and creativity.

Another opportunity that arose was massage. Many people - especially those who are too stressed at work, or do work that are physically demanding, had often asked me for massages. They say I had good intuitive hands. This led me to formally study a massage course in September 2024.

Now, I’ve made the leap to full-time self-employment, offering relaxation and peace through massage - the right use of techniques, aroma, and handling clients which I learned from the Massage course from Syntra West, recognised by the Flanders government.

Recently, I have also completed the initial training for Sports Massage from the same school.
